The article above summarizes and on going feud between anti-muslim posters that were posted in 10 subway stations in New York City. These posters were led to be put up by the American Freedom Defense Initiative. This group is led by Pamela Geller. Pamela Geller is known as an activist who is against the proposed Islamic community center near ground zero.
"Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, fears that the ads will “contribute to the atmosphere of anti-Islam hostility,” adding that there has been a “widespread repudiation of the hate message promoted by these ads (blog.timesunion.com).
Personally, I agree that these posters are not appropriate for public viewing. I think they are degrading to muslims and if I were a muslim I would not appreciate such posters.
